Healthy Chicken
Healthy Chicken is actually the name of the eatery, not the actual food healthy chicken. I discovered it a long, long time ago but never had the motivation to go all the way to Central to buy it, even though I knew what they sold would be perfect for me. A huge portion of chicken breast and salad meal? Yes please! Just a note, they don't only sell chicken breasts (which is what I only like), they also sell a quarter, half or whole chicken, a huge piece of chicken leg, chicken wings... yum yum yum! What actually made me go get it one day in August was their Facebook competition - which I didn't win. But I went back a few times since then, once with Roy and once with Pinky, both of whom have been influenced by my salad-and-chicken eating habits throughout our Year-out jobs. ;)

My First Law Court Visit
For Media Law class, a few of us chose to work individually for our projects instead of in groups. The task was different if you wanted to work by yourself, and one option for us was to sit through a few public court cases then write a few articles on them. Decided to check out a rape case with Honey, Michelle and John one day because it sounded quite interesting. Y'know, not like your usual boring finance and law stuff which would probably put me to sleep. It was my first time at Hong Kong's High Court and I was actually quite excited despite the early morning start!
We went to both the morning and afternoon sessions, and in between the girls and I went to eat lunch at Mano in Central, a café that Honey and I had both wanted to try for a while. I loved their pick-yourself salad bowl because I could choose whatever I wanted in whatever amount for a fixed price! Of course, it was a one time visit to the salad bar only, but I think I pretty much aced it with my copious amount of my favourite chicken breast. It was a huge struggle trying not to ignore the vegetables and just get a whole plate of chicken. ;)
The court room was freezing, so before we went back for the afternoon session I actually dropped by Topshop and bought a $1000+ winter jacket. It was thick as hell with a fur lining and a hood, but with the scarily low temperatures of High Court, I decided to do my best to prevent myself from turning into ice. I felt so bad and the jacket was actually quite nice, but $1000 - with student discount - was really too much for a jacket in my opinion, so right after the court case wrapped up for the day I actually went back to Topshop to refund it. Haha, I'm so sorry, but you saved my life Topshop!

Boomshack at Tong Chong Street Market
Remember Island East Markets? I'd been waiting for its return, but despite its name, Swire Properties saw its success, decided to kick it out (they had to move to an indoor place in Mong Kok) and introduce a new market that they co-hosted. Well, this is how business works, I suppose. Tong Chong Street is a really good location for a Sunday market, especially for me since I live just a ten minute walk from it.
I basically went to every single week of the Tong Chong Street Market since its introduction this autumn, but I didn't take any pictures. And I feel so mean saying this but... I like it more than Island East Markets, simply because its all focused on food - groceries and products and well-known eateries that cook you their signature dishes on the spot. One particular Sunday Jason and I decided to get food from the stalls and have a picnic at Via Fiori. We tried Boomshack's fried chicken waffle burger!
Afterwards, we went to Oi! Street Art Space so I could do some interviews for a writing assignment. We ended the night with dinner at Applegreen in Tsim Sha Tsui - out of the way, but I really craved it that day!

Sassy x Dine & Design 2015
Checked out Sassy's Dine & Design 2015 event held at PMQ on Saturday with Clar. Like all PMQ activities, it was disappointingly small, but there was plenty of good food which always makes up for the lack of market space! Since we finished checking out the actual event quite soon, we wandered around the rest of the PMQ shops and spent a particularly long time in a new favourite of mine, Open Quote!

Jaspas in Sai Ying Pun
Four naughty students decided to skip lecture one Wednesday night to have a nice dinner. We usually don't, okay, but that night both Honey and I had a full day's worth of class from 9:30AM to 9:30PM, and Michelle and Vivien both had had two classes each. We just weren't feeling it. So we went to Jaspas in Sai Ying Pun for American-sized noms. Jaspas is seriously one of my favourite restaurants, their portion sizes do not disappoint! And pardon the million takes of the same photo - I couldn't choose just one, haha.

N1 Coffee & Co.
As always, we only cross the harbour when we really need to because transport costs are expensive, so before my mole removal follow-up appointment, Mum and I went on a little lunch and coffee date in Tsim Sha Tsui. This time, we tried N1 Coffee & Co. which is located right next to Passion by Gerard Dubois on Mody Road. It's a little independent coffee shop but since neither my Mum or I drink coffee, we only ordered food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't excellent or anything either. The decor of the coffee shop was really nice though!

Foxtail & Broomcorn
Been dying to try Foxtail & Broomcorn since it opened, and I finally got to do so with Jason on the first of November. It wasn't even a planned visit, I'd wanted to eat at Dandy's Organic Café but it was closed (I hope not permanently!) so we decided to tick the noodle place off my list. The food did not disappoint, and the best thing was, the portions were actually almost large enough for a huge eater like me!
