Part 6 for day six! Nearly a week after our initial arrival in Thailand, the highlights of the sixth day were shopping around
Platinum Mall in the morning, camwhoring in
Chocolate Ville in the afternoon (luckily we didn't get scammed on our taxi ride - though the drivers definitely tried to!) and shopping at the
street market stalls with my Mum after dinner - my Dad had promptly returned to the hotel.
Honestly, a word about Platinum Mall: everyone raves on about how cheap the shopping is, but I didn't find it that great. The clothing styles were old, out-of-date and weren't even cheap at all! Maybe for people living in the west like the US or the UK the offerings were bargains, but honestly, I could find
much better stuff back in Hong Kong in Mongkok... fashion-wise, quality-wise and price-wise too.
But anyway, all the photos apart from four are taken in Chocolate Ville - which is
the place in Bangkok you need to go if you're a camwhore. It is every spoilt princess' dream, haha. I guess it's worth the taxi money you'll definitely get scammed out of - and I say definitely because once you get there, there's basically no way out and the workers of Chocolate Ville even work with the taxi drivers. Hey, it's a dog eat dog world out there!
