Archipelago Class Pub

Class pubs for promoting ourselves during Archinite! Which is the annual HKU architecture movie night sort of thing. Each year films a movie and they show them from 12am to 6am in the crit room. I only went during my freshman year, and had to miss out despite wanting to go SO BADLY last year because I was in Shanghai. I was going to make up for missing it by attending this year but I ended up with Chickenpox... (it was the night of Jason's birthday celebration) so I didn't go again. :( all my friends did though!

There are obviously a lot more pics, but uploading them all would take me weeks, so... I only chose the nice ones. :)

Mummy's Birthday 2013

The day after I celebrated Jason's birthday (one week late) was my Mummy's birthday! Actual day too! It was a Sunday and I woke up covered in spots... I realised it was CHICKENPOX!

You can refer back to my Failures blog post because I wrote about this in more detail. But basically on the morning of my Mum's birthday, she had to take me to the Doctor's who confirmed that I had the lame ass disease and told me to stay home / not to go to school for a week.

My Mum went to buy groceries after the appointment and I sneakily went to buy cake for her. I was exhausted from just an hour outside. I remember feeling soooo hot and sticky and I was sweating like mad by the time I finished climbing the hill back home. :(

We didn't do much. I was planning on buying a gift for her that morning (I know, I'm so last minute) but I suddenly couldn't cos I was sick. So... yeah. Here are the few pictures we took because I wiped off all my make up and began to look really shit for the next week.

Made my Mum some "cards" to stick on toothpicks then onto the cakes. I wrote reasons why I love her at the back of each one :) Also, been buying smaller portions of cakes lately as you can tell! Because well... whenever we buy huge ass cakes they end up going to waste because no one can really finish them. We're a family of three with two females...

Annnnddd my medicine. I didn't really take them at all. Like... only the antibiotics but apparently you don't even need to take those. And I despise taking medicine, so I didn't take anything else. HAHA. I just waited for my chicken pox to subside, which thankfully only took about a week. In fact, I went to my archi review on Friday though I was probably still contagious at that point.

Jason's 23rd Birthday: SML & Mid-Autumn Festival

Jason's 23rd birthday was on the 16th September, but I was busy I think, so we celebrated it five days later. Oops. We didn't even do much anyway. I just got him a birthday cupcake from Sweet Secrets in Causeway Bay (another tick off my cupcake list! Sift was better though) and I treated him to dinner at SML (which had SHIT service so don't go there) and then we looked at the Mid-Autumn Festival decorations in Victoria Park. Then I went home cos I was tired, despite it not even being 10pm yet, if I remember correctly.

Lets begin with food pics from SML. The food was quite nice, but I wouldn't go back because it was quite pricey and the service was REALLY bad... like I've never met ruder waiters? Or in particular, one waiter who had the name tag of Siu Lung. He looks like a boy in this 20s. Fucking RUDE and disrespectful! Kind of a shame really because the concept behind the restaurant was quite creative, and the food was actually not bad.

Daddy's Birthday 2013

Woahh... so it's actually been a month and a half since my Dad's birthday. A month and a half backdated with my blog entries. I'd caught up and everything in September and now I'm behind again. Well my Dad's birthday was on September the 15th. So here are the pics, because I can't remember much of the details anymore. Bad points of not being up-to-date with blog posts. :(

Bought Sift cupcakes all the way from Admiralty for my Dad! I was tired of Chinese-style fruit cakes and I'd wanted to try Sift for a SUPER long time... I actually spent like two hours going to and fro from home to Pacific Place... all in the sweltering Hong Kong heat, omg.

Of course, I had to selfcam with them... the above are only a tiny number of the pics I snapped on Photobooth. And the most FAIL thing is, as I've already blogged about in my previous entry, after selfcamming with the cupcakes I dropped them. And they became all squashed.

Sigh. I had to present my Dad with squashed cupcakes :( I was so sad lol

The next day! Since my Dad never got a proper birthday cake he could CUT (cos you know, I presented him with squashed cupcakes), and my Mum is currently taking baking classes, we just used her product of the day as a substitute for my Dad's cake hahaha.
