Hospitalised

When I got back from watching Cavalia and having dinner with Clar, my Mum noticed something strange about my ankles - they were really, really swollen. She told my Dad and they started freaking out, crying and arguing and stuff. Apparently, it meant there was something wrong with my liver...? The next day, I took the morning off work and went to see the doctor. He took one look at my ankle then told me to take three days sick leave, go home and rest, and report back to him in three days.

I wasn't really freaking out by then. The three days off of work just felt like a relaxing vacation for me because I had been so stressed. But when I went back to the doctor after my "break" and my body hadn't gotten better - about what, I did not know, because I felt completely normal and fine - I was pushed into the hospital that afternoon.

That was when I began to panic. My doctor made it sound like my liver was going to explode soon or something. I probably shouldn't talk about it in such a jokey manner on my (public) blog but I basically went crazy. I thought I was going to die and you know how convicts get to request anything for their last meal before they're executed? I decided I needed to eat my last meal...

I went crazy that day. And since I stuffed such an inhumane amount of food into my body (I ate more than what was pictured cos I was so scared I'd never be able to eat again), I spent the whole night not in my hospital bed but on the hospital toilet, LOL.

Cavalia Comes to Hong Kong!

When I found out that Cavalia was coming to Hong Kong, I knew I had to go or else I would regret it for the rest of my life. I mean, who knew when I'd ever get the chance to see it again (like my Disney on Ice experience back in 2011 which I stupidly passed up...)? If you know me in real life, or you've been a long time follower of mine, you'd know that I love horses. I've loved them pretty much since the day I was born and I did horseback riding for eight years. A horse ballet? Totally my thing.

I asked quite a few people but I guess not everyone is into spending big bucks on a horse show. I was so desperate I even asked my parents, haha. Luckily, Clar was interested too and I remember as soon as she agreed, I scrambled to get the best tickets possible in the short amount of time we had left!

Unfortunately they didn't allow photography, but I did get a few sneak snaps! If the show ever comes by you, I highly recommend it!

My 22nd Birthday: Brunch Buffet at Al Molo Ristorante Italiano

I wanted all my N's Girls to be there for my birthday, but during the Easter holidays, the girls were all over the world vacationing. In the end, we celebrated one week late, which was fine by me! In both 2013 and 2014, the girls treated me to a salad buffet, and this year it was no different! Well, slightly. The buffet we went for in Al Molo Ristorante Italiano wasn't serving exclusively salad - it was a brunch buffet, but we could pick the option of just having the antipasti and dessert buffet spread. And honestly, there were so many food choices that there was no need for a main as well!

I was really touched by their gifts that day. They really know me, haha, from the best handmade cards (art and architecture students really make the best handicrafts) to the cutest unicorn accessories to the warmest clothing items - because they know I get cold easily! I ate so many cakes and unhealthy food that afternoon but oh well, you only turn 22 once in your life, right? ;)

Aedas Annual Dinner

Even before starting my work, I'd already been looking forward to its annual dinner. I'd seen many seniors' pictures of the past few years' events and they all looked so fun. Unfortunately, this year's theme was "carnival", which I wasn't very enthusiastic about dressing up for (I tried with my overalls), but everything else was still great! It was held at the Hong Kong Football Club and the MC we hired this year was Jacqueline Wong, a super pretty former Miss Hong Kong runner-up. Oh, and did I mention they had a buffet? ;)

My 22nd Birthday: Classified

After my gut-exploding buffet dinner the previous night, I was scheduled for lunch with Clar and Whitney the following day... a lovely Sunday and my actual birthday! It was such a nice day, and like the last few years, the sun came out just for me :) We went to Classified in Sheung Wan because I'd never been there and had light, healthy brunches. Whitney even surprised me with her yummy homemade cupcakes! They got smooshed on her journey to meet us if you're wondering haha, but obviously I didn't mind!
