Llywelyn's Housewarming

On the 27th of July, I went to Saikung again with the archians - this time for Llywelyn's housewarming! (Last time it was Maisie's housewarming, they live like 5 minutes away from each other) Can I just say that it's so nice to have friends who drive? It took me ages to get from home all the way to Saikung on public transport, but once I got there Llywelyn nicely offered a pick up service from the town centre. :) Granted, his place is just like a 5 minute drive away but still! We all arrived at different times and he would drive out to pick up every one of us!

Sadly we went to Ma On Shan for dinner and dessert and cos they wanted to stay out later and I had to go home before midnight like a good girl, I had to make my way home... using the MTR. It took more than an hour from Ma On Shan station back to Taikoo. What. The. Actual. Fuck.

The theme for the housewarming was British / blue red white. Apparently there was a dress code but Cherry and Llywelyn were the only ones who knew about it LOL, how fail. Coincidentally though we all wore variations of the chosen colours O_O this always happens with us archians.

We all brought food like a potluck and we were supposed to cook but Llywelyn's helper ended up cooking for us instead. My colonoscopy was also the next day so by then I had a super strict diet, and I wasn't allowed to eat anything with bulk, including carbs and vegetables and fruits. I was only allowed to eat meat, fish and soy milk. Which actually suited me just fine because I'm a carnivore at heart, like I'd choose MEAT over veggies and carbs any day. LOL.

But still, it was really hard to resist all the yummy desserts and cakes and pies and spaghetti :( and even the veggies, cos what you can't eat, you end up craving, right? (I should know. My binge eating developed from my failed diet last summer)

Um, the above photos are of Llywelyn's bookshelf which I was slightly obsessed with. His house has three floors and the bookshelf spans from the top floor all the way to the ground floor. OMG I was in heaven, I really love books and reading... :'D Wish I had a bookshelf like this then my parents would stop throwing all my old books out. :(

Drove off to Sai Sha Café for dinner! We just randomly chose it on Openrice cos we needed a restaurant with parking. It's a Thai restaurant which was super duper yummy, and the atmosphere was great. Really felt like we were in Thailand! The cons though - it's located in the middle of nowhere in Ma On Shan (which means I'll probably never go back again in my lifetime) and is a tad bit expensive.

I only took pictures of the two dishes I ate, thanks to my restricting diet. FISH and MEAT! I felt a bit bad cos I ate most of the satays (um and most of the fish too), but hey I couldn't eat any of the other dishes! Actually I was supposed to keep my eating to a minimum but being the greedy pig I am I couldn't stop once I began to chew...

Went to Ma On Shan Plaza for dessert! Then I went home, which took 1.5 hours SIGH. Collapsed in a pool of tiredness when I got home. But a satisfying day out nevertheless!
