This was just after our studio field trip to Lijiang in January! The cute animal stickers and the rainy notebook were from shops in Dali, and they were dirt cheap just like everything in China! The other pink notebooks were souvenirs from my parents cos they went to relax in lovely Japan (I know right, I'm so jealous) while I was hiking up mountains to see lame pagodas.
Maisie also went to Japan during the winter break! She brought back Tokyo Bananas for us... my first time trying the legendary Tokyo Banana!
My classmate who came back from exchange for a whole semester in Vienna got us Chocolate from Mozart Museum, I think?
And because my parents have been so supportive and nice and kind and everything parents should be to their kids, I decided to do the dishes. LOL. And it turns out this was basically the only time these two months that I actually did the dishes (in my defence, I was busy with school).
Sweet potato flavoured baumkuchen cake from Japan! The packaging is so pretty as well! It was a souvenir from my uncle's family cos they went on vacation. :)
Finally got the time to watch Pokemon Origins! I know, I'm slow.
I mentioned briefly in my School Food blog post back before Christmas that I bought Nature's Gate's shampoo and conditioner because a) I'd heard good things about sulfate-free hair products, b) it was on discount and c) I really, really needed to reduce my hair loss. Well the review is: it doesn't reduce hair loss. Though I suppose I'm not an ordinary case. But anyway, bought a new hair set so I'll let you guys know how it is!
After I recovered from getting all four wisdom teeth removed at once, I finally got the chance to eat at my favourite Outback again! Went with my parents once again and because we go there and eat at least once a month, the staff there recognises us... and we got free dessert! This is the "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under". It looks small in the picture but it was huge and sinful... think two huge scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate chips over a warm, moist brownie doused in chocolate syrup...
Wandered over to The Commercial Press after lunch and there was a discount! I buy books no matter how expensive they are because I loveeee reading, so I got these two!
My binge calendar for January and February 2014. Actually quite scary to be honest... I never realised there was a pattern in my binges until I sat down and marked it down. I always binge on Mondays and Tuesdays because that's when I feel the most stress from the upcoming school days. And please ignore the "senna" and "poop" labels LOL.
I'm trying to gain weight but sometimes my Mum really goes overboard... this isn't even my biggest meal yet. I basically eat what my parents eat added together. It's really annoying and it makes my tummy really bloated.
My Mum is taking a baking class and she keeps tempting me up by bringing home yummilicious breads and stuff.
If you weren't aware, I'm a tad bit addicted to Foursquare! I think my one year anniversary with the app was sometime in March, haha.
Since I never know how to reply when people ask me what I want for my birthday (because everything I want can't be bought with money - like genuine happiness - oh I am so deep), I got gift cards for my favourite clothing stores! The Forever 21 card is from Jason and the H&M card is from my Uncle.
Healthy lunch date at Dressed with Raphaella! We were going to go to Passion by Gérard Dubois but it was full to the brim that day. Hmm... I guess salad it is then! Not that I'm complaining. :P
One weekend at Simplylife in Admiralty with my family. I really treasured the moments I could go out and have lunch with them because I didn't get many chances during the semester. And even if I did, I felt guilty about it... like I could be working instead? I'm so relaxed now that finals are over, finally I can enjoy my meals!
Dyed my hair back to black right after my external lock-up. Couldn't stand the light brown lol but everyone tells me I look better brown?
My OOTD for family buffet day: shorts from Zara Kids for 7-8 years old! One good thing about being underweight is that I get to save money on clothes, I suppose... sort of... not really.
Lunch buffet at Café Too at Island Shangri-la to celebrate the end of my degree! Lol jk it was cos there was a special deal/discount for a certain credit card. I would say that the Shangri-la buffet has more variety, but the food at JW Marriott actually tastes better. I guess both are nice though! And Shangri-la stocks Passion macarons which JW Marriott doesn't have!
The dessert section, which I completely butchered.
Super yummy roasts! Beef and turkey, both of which I butchered too.
My Dad and one of his many, many plates. Guess where I inherited my huge appetite from. Unfortunately I did not inherit his gene to stay skinny.
Me with my first round of dessert. My first round is always so calm and clean and there's never much on my plate. Then the sugar explodes in my mouth and I go binge-crazy.
My Grandma and her ice cream cone. She was really shocked at how many cakes and cookies and chocolates and desserts I had that day! She always tells me to eat more because I'm so skinny, and that day I finally shut her up for good when she saw me eating desserts. I feel like people never believe me when I tell them about my sugar addiction... grrr!
Afterwards, I had to move my panel and models to their new location for the Degree Show 2014, my Grandma came with me as well to take a look at my work.
At night my parents and I went to the PMQ Night Market. It was my second time there, the first time being the first night it opened with the N's Girls. It was SO crowded that night compared to my first time! Like I could barely walk, much less look inside the stores.
New things! Mascara because I never bother to doll myself up - should really make more of an effort now that school's over, eyebrow pencil to replace my used-up one, my new pink selfcamming camera (!) and polaroid films.
Went shopping for $800 granny shoes at Aerosoles. Went to buy overpriced shoes because wearing cheap ass shoes from Mong Kok has wrecked my feet for life. I can't wear flip flops or anything other than cushioned shoes (read: trainers) anymore and I can't even walk barefeet now, because my feet hurt too much.
And then that night, I went home, lost control, and binged. Bear in mind that this was only one night after the lunch buffet, so my cravings should've been satisfied. Apparently not. I had eighteen oat cookies a.k.a. one whole box, one whole bar of toblerone, one whole box of chocolate seashells, one whole family pack of malkist crackers and one whole family pack of arrowroot biscuits. Who the fuck eats so much in one go? It was more than 4000 calories. And I also ate a normal breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day. I had such a bad stomachache and literally wanted to throw up.
So my parents decided to help out after I begged them to. Now every night, when they go to bed (because they sleep much earlier than I do), they lock the drawers. Unfortunately, there's still food in the fridge... trying very hard to resist... :(
Lunch at Pizza Hut with my family again. PS: I seriously think Pizza Hut is the worst-tasting pizza place on Earth. I don't know why it's so popular in Hong Kong.
Okay that's it for now! I hate writing posts for the second time because my emotions are less genuine and I don't enjoy writing them anymore. I just write them to complete the post. Sigh. I noticed that most of these photos are actually from after my external final. Haha, I didn't have much of a life outside of Architecture during the semester! But never mind, now that studio work's over, I should be adding much more to the family and food tags... watch out for those! :)
