Hoho's bao dinner this year took place at Mr. Korea BBQ - I think the name is pretty self-explanatory, it's a Korean BBQ place. I hadn't had Korean BBQ in a long time, and when I say long, I mean long. The last time was in 2013 when I went to Seoul with the N's Girls. A lot of new Korean BBQ restaurants have been popping up around Hong Kong lately so I guess it was about time I stopped being outdated and jumped on the foodie train.
The servers at Mr. Korea BBQ were all Korean and while ordering from the menu, we communicated by pointing at the pictures, haha. The service was great in general though and refills for the Korean side dishes were free, something that is rare in Hong Kong (but the norm in Korea)! As with all BBQ places, I already knew I was going to stink afterwards, but Mr. Korea BBQ supplied awesome chairs that doubled as baskets where you could lift the lid and put all of your stuff inside. It was definitely useful in keeping my jacket and bag smell-free! (My hair though... not so lucky) Overall I had a great time reconnecting with the youngsters - man, did I feel old with an actual job!
