Jockey Club Community Arts Biennale 2015

With the recent Korean food craze in Hong Kong, Mum decided to try Honey Granny's honeycomb ice cream to see what's so good about it. There was a branch close to home in Quarry Bay and on the way there, we dropped by Artistree for the Jockey Club Community Arts Biennale 2015 exhibition, which is sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and organised by the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (YAF). We found out that it ends on the 24th, so we were lucky to catch the last few days of it!

The exhibition features 24 large visual art installations on the neighbourhoods around Hong Kong. These artworks were created by professional artists and young people together to bring forward the histories of the different communities that make the city what it is today. They even had workshops (that we missed) on letterpress printing, paper crafting and lion head paper model making.
