Freespace Fest 2014

Like Clockenflap, the Freespace Fest is a cultural artsy fartsy event that happens yearly in Hong Kong which I'd missed every single year thanks to my finals. Free of my exams this year, I made plans to go with the girls more than a month prior to the actual event. I bought tickets super early on cos I was scared they'd be sold out. After a while though - I guess the tickets weren't selling well or something - the organisers decided to make it a free event... and I'm still waiting for my refund. *grumbles* But this proves how early on I'd decided to go haha.

But because it was now a free event, we had no more obligations to go and everyone totally ditched. Everyone but Clar - so the two of us went on our little "dates" again LOL. We went pretty late, I think we arrived at 4PM or something and then Clar had to leave by 6PM so we spent under two hours there, which was totally not enough for first-timer me. :( Still, what I did see was awesome!

The concept of Freefest is that basically you can do anything there, and the place was littered with young hipster Instagrsmmers having picnics and selling their homemade goods. Clar bought a pair of second-hand boyfriend jeans and I bought a second-hand basic tshirt (for $20 only!) because I'd dressed for w-i-n-t-e-r and it was sizzling hot that day (my fault for not checking the weather). The line for the toilet was too long though so I didn't even change into it in the end, lol.

Apart from people doing their personal thang, there were also mini-activities and food vendors and a stage with live music. All of which we didn't have time to check out, sigh. But we did enjoy the sunset!
